Burned and cracked land that surrounds The Wound, scar of a cataclysm no one remembers.
Geography and climate
Around the rift the ground is brown and ashen, burned so long ago that the burn has become part of the earth. It is split by lesser cracks and strewn with boulders, and only tufts of dry grass and the odd dead tree grow on it. Among the stones, half-buried remains of walls show. The barrens have no clear edge: they fade little by little into the fields of the Vesper Fields to the west and into the pastures of the south.
